HOLOTETRIX is a spin-off company based on the micro-optics* expertise of the Télécom Bretagne Optics Department. It was established in October 2007 by D. Battarel, K. Heggarty and J.L. de Bougrenet de la Tocnaye.
HOLOTETRIX's primary activities are the design, fabrication and commercialization of prototype Diffractive Optical Elements (DOE) and micro-optics for diverse industrial applications such as LED illumination, laser beam shaping, wavefront analyzers, etc.
*Micro-optics enables complex fan-in and fan-out of light. It is a new method to shape and deviate light with very small structures and components which can be easily replicated and manufactured on arrays. Diffractive and refractive micro-optical elements complement the functionality and performance of traditional lenses, prisms and mirrors. It is a key technology to meet the needs for miniaturization, cost reduction and improved performance. Today such micro-optics are used in different applications: optical communications, lighting, mobile computing and communication devices automotive and aerospace.
