Research topics
Historically, the research activities of the Optics Department are organized around three main complementary topics:
- The first one is related to the exploitation of liquid crystal and holographic diffractive element engineering and technologies.
- The second (the first one historically) relates to optical information and signal processing.
- The third (and most recent) topic concerns the design of passive optical functions and architecture modelling for optical networks.
